My beloved and I will be going to Brooklyn for Shabbos this week. I ‘ve prepared my yummy and most awesome cookies for the occasion.
I did a bunch of work this week but no new clients for my PC business. I realy have to be a lot more agressive in trying to close customers and recruit businesses to my services. Maybe I’ll do some door to door sales this next week.
Here is a short vort for those who wanna say some good stuff at the Shabbos table:
The gemora says that ‘Ein Torah nitna ela l’ochlei hamon’ – ‘The Torah was not given except to those who ate manna’. so what’s pshat?
Pshat is in the manna itself – it was a perfect food and produced no waste. bread from the ground, on the other hand – has a lot of stuff that could be filtered out and eventually – does produce waste. so too the attitude of the people who ate the manna affected their Torah and didnt let anything go to waste. but we have to continue that and not ‘pick and choose’ what we want to keep and what we don’t (cafeteria Jews).
