Teachers are Underpaid
Posted by Adiel under: Stam .
I was listening to a Dave Ramsey clip recently and he said a big thing about the school system and teachers: Teachers don’t get paid appropriately for what they do. If you think about it, he’s right. Teachers breathe life and spirit into children and set them up on the path for the future more than parents do. And they can easily apply their skills in the workplace and get paid more than double what they’re making in the school system.
So give your teacher (or kids teacher) proper respect (unless you can see that they don’t know what they’re doing).

Amen brother.
If we as Americans would value our educators as we do our entertainers, the entire nation’s quality of education would rise sharply. The best and the brightest, even if they are idealistic, often cannot make ends meet in the field of teaching. In the end,we all end up paying for it.

Ya better believe it.
And the nerve of these folks writing in to the Yated lately, petitioning for them to take away inservice days… in what other profession would you be expected to spend all your OFF hours working your kishkas out… expected to complete projects with no budget, that will fix all of society’s faults… never let your emotional guard down and snap, because it’s delicate young souls you’re dealing with…even if you have a decent number of sick/personal days (you won’t), you never get a day “off”– first you need to find a sub and leave detailed plans, may as well just go into work already… do stockbrokers have to do that? Electricians? CEOs?
