This year I had the privelege of hosting my first seder at my In-Laws. Even though I had reviewed what was to be done , I had to wing it when it came to singing. But overall, we all had a good time.
I should also say that it’s the first time that i slept in one location outside my own apartment for 5 days in a row. 3 days shabbos/yom tov and 2 days of chol hamoed. fun.
we went to the South Street Seaport where ALL of us (Esther, me, Shaina, bubby, Sara-Rochel & family, Moishe and Aaron - who flew in from Israel) all went on a 75 minute water ferry tour of ‘Jewish NY’. The tour guide shared a lot of stories and information about jewish life in the lower east side and buildings which could be seen from the boat. We also got some great pics of the statue of liberty.
we came back home 3rd night of chol hamoed and got to rest before going out for some more activites the next 2 days. for the last days, we were by esthers aunt and uncle in brooklyn and ate one meal by the langsners. woo hoo.
Now we’re back home (which was cleaned for Pesach) and still havent done any shopping - so we’ve been eating what we could find in the cupboard. Hopefully, we’ll go shopping later.
On February 26, Rabbi Zalman Deutscher of Yeshiva Primary will be hosting a reunion at a nearby restaraunt. I (and hopefully Esther) will be going. If you went to the yeshiva anytime before 1993 and want to hang out with the alumni send an email to yeshivainstitute@aol.com
Getting a little bigger each day. Dr. Simai said she’s gaining weight nicely and is nearly a pound bigger than when she left the hospital. Thank you to Bubby Price for taking such good care of us the past couple of weeks and for the other family, friends and neighbors who have called, emailed, sent gifts, cooked dinners and came to visit. It was great seeing the Nooches last week in Far Rockaway.
Me and my boppy (and pacifier)
Peek-a-boo!
…but since some of you asked, we do have a baby registry.
Babies R Us Registry
We expect to see all of the items bought at the end of the week….;)
Just kidding, really no pressure we are thrilled with just visitors / emails / posts / phone calls / letters (!?) too.

Here are some quick pix for you to enjoy! More to come later!

This is a YAWN, not a screaming infant.

Barefoot, pregnant and in the Kitchen :D.
Esther and I had a fun filled night in the city which included checking out the windows at Macy’s and Lord & Taylor; eating dinner at Kolbeh; and of course, karaoke.
It was my first time doing karaok, but Esther had done it in the past with some of her friends. So i was just excited to hear songs i knew and didn’t think too much about what i wanted to sing. Here are some clips of esther and i singing different songs. See if you can see the difference between the song i sing in the first picture and song i sing in the second picture:

Wow! What a Yom Tov!
Esther & I were all over the place from the beginning of Sukkos until even today. What a fun, fun, fun and happy Sukkos. For the 1st 3 days we went to Brooklyn and stayed by her aunt and uncle (along with all other members of that side of the family) and ate out 3 of the 6 total meals by the Langsners and Esther’s good friend, AJ. I love davening in Kamenitz when i stay in that area. Everyone is doing well and it was all just a blast.
Chol Hamoed - Esther and I met up with Sara Rochel (my sis in law) and her whole family and went to a CORN MAZE. the stalks are like 8 feet tall and the path out is unknown. But if you walk around certain parts of the maze, there are clues to the maze which can help get you out. we all broke up into 3 teams and raced to get to the end. it was funny passing each other as we went through it. what was even funnier was that Sara Rochel’s team made it out in less than 25 minutes (but didnt have the majority of the clues - which is an objective in finishing the maze) because they turned the wrong way! My team beat Esther’s by ONE minute. woo hoo! go Team Adiel!
Over the course of the few days of this chol hamoed we made sure to eat in a sukka (a neighbor had one set up around the corner). We also spent some time in the city checking out the site’s and trying to win some tickets to a Broadway show (which we didn’t).
The last 3 days we spent in the Lower East Side (LES). On the way to the lower east side, we remembered that we didn’t say tashlich yet. so as we were driving over the bridge we started to say it and finished saying it together once we got to the end. pretty pathetic if you ask me - but the best we could do in the rush we were in.
Shimini Atzeres and Simchas Torah we’re great. As you all know - i have this love for the classic jewish feeling that is strongly apparent in the LES. And it’s even stronger when the streets are closed off by the police and all the shuls come out and dance with the sifrei torah. what a site!
It was a solid holiday and i’m glad that we saw so many people over the course of the week. May this year bring lots more happiness to EVERYONE!!!
